Israel follows the European (continental) legal system rather than the Common law and in particular the US law with respect to Notary services .As an experienced attorney Eddy Meiri was qualified by the Israeli mInistry of Justice to act – in addition to his qualification as attorney at law – as a Notary.  Among others notarial services include authentication of documents, signatures, powers of attorneys and confirmed translations. It should be noted that there is no capacity in Israel of “certified translator” and it is Notaries that confirm the authenticity of translation, where they are familiar with the relevant languages.

Notarized documents often require international validation, such as apostille, a matter which Eddy Meiri also handles for the clients or instructs the clients in order to save them precious time and money.
